Durham Bulls Final Games of 2015 Season

Summer is winding down, and with that comes the end of the Durham Bulls season. With just 14 home games remaining this season, make sure you take in a game before it’s too late! At Apartments at Palladian Place in Durham, NC, we love the Durham Bulls, and we’ve been holding contests all summer long giving our residents a chance to win free tickets. With the 2015 season winding down, the Bulls return home on Wednesday, August 19th to face the Toledo Mud Hens and the Columbus Clippers and to begin a five-game home stretch. There are tons of promotional events scheduled that you won’t want to miss including two fireworks show, a DBAP Food Truck Fest, and so much more! This is a great way to get and enjoy an event that is unique to Durham, so grab some friend check out the series while it’s in town.

If you’re looking for a bargain, then Thursday nights are for you. They feature $1 concessions where the hot dogs, soda, and popcorn are just a dollar. What’s more, Thursdays are College Nights, so students can get a Terrace View ticket and $5 in Bull Bucks for just $11, or an Outfield Reserved ticket for just $5.99 when tickets are purchased online. That’s an amazing deal you can’t pass up!

It’s been at hot summer and we hope you’ve taken full advantage of the pool here at Palladian Place! Now that it’s almost August, we want to make sure we’ve explored all summer festivities of Durham and Chapel Hill.  If you’re looking to soak up the last days of summer with some great local events here are a few ideas:

For a little culture:
  • MacBeth at Forest Theatre in Chapel Hill
    July 30 – August 1
    Grab a picnic or hit up the food trucks, and consider yourself super cultured as you experience one of Shakespeare’s classics. Gates open at 7pm and tickets are $17.
For an all American classic:
  • Durham Bulls Baseball vs. Gwinnett
    August 2

For getting in touch with nature:
  • Birds and Bees, Flowers and Trees – Pollinator Hike
    August 8
    Enjoy a beautiful hike through the North Carolina Botanical Garden! The event is free but make sure to bring sunscreen and water and pre-registration is required. The hike runs from 10:00 – noon, so you’ll have plenty of time to grab brunch afterwards!
