We know our furry residents love their full-sized outdoor dog park at Palladian Place, but this weekend treat them to a festival of their own! With more than 60 vendors and plenty of pet-related sponsors, this family and pet-friendly event is sure to be a great time. There’s food, music, demonstrations, and contests with all money going to support the work of the SPCA of Wake County. Cost is only $25.

Sample over 250 beers when you attend the World Beer Festival! One look at all the delicious beers to taste and you’ll be happy you made the trip out. Add the music and other entertainment and you know it’s going to be a great time. Make sure to visit the NC Beer Garden to try out some of the state’s best beers and the all new Cider Garden featuring traditional and experimental ciders. There’s also a Beer’s Made by Walking Festival, which will highlight beers inspired by nature hikes or urban walks. If you’ve taken advantage of the 1-mile nature trail at Palladian Place, this may be the beer tasting for you!

It’s the 10th season for the Carolina Railhawks and you don’t want to miss the party! The festivities will include a live music, a pregame flyover, in game fireworks, and the first 1,000 fans will receive a complimentary 10th anniversary commemorative cup. While there, fill up on delicious food from one of the vendor at the in-stadium food truck rodeo. Kids will love the “Duck Donuts Family Zone” with face painting and inflatables, all the excitement of Railhawks action!

There’s the Far Post Beer Garden and new enhanced concessions allowing you to enjoy the services of concession from the comfort of your seat. Come root the team on to their first victory of the season and experience a one-of-a-kind event!

Spring & Easter Activities in Durham

Spring is here which means warmer temperatures (thank goodness!), allergies, and Easter celebrations! Easter weekend for the kids:

Dino Egg Hunt

Take the kids the Dino Egg Hunt at the Museum of Life and Science! It’s an expected activity full of adventure and excitement and it’s not your typical Easter activity. It takes place April 3-5 from 9:30am-5pm and Sunday 12:30 5pm. Visit their website for more information.
