Every weekend through October, you’ll find something fun to do. Here’s a run-down of some of the best upcoming activities not far from Palladian Place: 

Xtreme Haunt – A Real-Life Zombie Shooting Experience

Xtreme Park Adventures
October 14 – October 29 

If you want to try your hand at a real-life zombie apocalypse experience, head to Xtreme Park Adventures on Friday or Saturday between October 14 and October 29 for Xtreme Haunt. Board your own military vehicles mounted with paintball guns, and drive through the park to shoot costumed zombies. Tickets are $15 and include the ride with 100 paintballs.

Northgate Mall
October 23 

Head to the Northgate Mall to enjoy live spooky music from the Durham Symphony Orchestra. This family-friendly event also features a puppet show put on by Paperhand Puppets Intervention. Local food trucks will be on hand for your dining needs, and children’s activities will keep all attendees engaged well. The concert and events start at 4 and there is no cost to attend.

October 28 

Explroe the history of Halloween aind spiritualism at Duke Homestead on October 28. This kid-frienldy event focuses on historical concepts instead of frightful ones, and will provide an interesting look into the origins of this popular holiday. The event starts at 6:30, and put on your walking shoes as it will take you all over the Homestead.

Maggiano’s Little Italy
October 31 

From 6-9 on Halloween, Maggiano’s Little Italy will transform into a dinner theater for a hilarious muder mystery dinner theater experience. Guests should remember that by attending, they could become a participant and evne a murder suspect! Tickets to hte enent include a three-course dinner, non-alcoholic beverages and the show.

The Durham Dark & Mysterious Ghost Walk is a family friendly 1.5 mile walking tour for adults and kids (age 8 and older) while the Durham Pub Crawl & Haunted Adventure is a 1 mile walking tour through downtown Durham visiting four bars and four haunted locations.
